The challenge for logistics in cities is increasingly to develop the capacity to serve society more and better and, at the same time, ensure greater sustainability of the supply operations carried out in urban centers.The major challenges in urban mobility, particularly for goods, are, on the one hand, the infrastructure and means of transport and, on the other, the increasingly complex logistical operation (smaller volumes and increased delivery frequency), without reducing the high quality in the services provided. These challenges require improvements in the vehicles used, which are more efficient and less polluting, collaborative logistic models, increased night logistics and flexible access to major centers.Goals:• Know the local administration policies in line with the vision of “smart city”, incorporating urban logistics in the global planning of the city;• Understand the importance of the last mile and reverse logistics for customers and companies, as well as understanding how delivery in the last mile can guarantee a level of excellence in the customer experience;• Discuss the difficulties in accessing large centers, with special emphasis on infrastructure and means of transport;• Share trends and knowledge in mobility, equipment and technology in order to facilitate the planning and visibility of the entire supply chain;
